Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities adhere to stringent quality requirements and benchmarks ensuring that the end product is up to international standards, making us industry forerunners.
We originally designed our first manufacturing plant to only produce pickled gherkins and tropical fruit products. With our decision to diversify our products line the facility was upgraded with a production capacity of 47,000 megatonnes per annum. We expanded our value-added product lines to include King Coconut Water, tropical food beverages, and plant-based meat substitutes.
Our all-new processing facility is located at the Biyagama Export Processing Zone, and is close to two main export hubs – the Colombo Fort and the Katunayake International Airport, allowing us to conveniently handle the products’ export logistics.
The Semi-processing plants located at Alawwa, in the North-Western Province, and Vakarai, Batticoloa District, allows ease of access for local farmers. With processing facilities closer to their farms, we can ensure that the produce retains its freshness throughout processing, adding to the high quality of our products.
As we work closely with nature, great care is taken to use techniques that do not cause harm to the environment. Our farmers use sustainable agricultural methods, the same applies to our manufacturing facilities, with a top priority to preserve water. Using greener methods that help reduce our carbon footprint has pushed HJS to become a leading name in the sustainable agricultural industry.
We strive to maintain a high standard when it comes to our consumer’s health, and have implemented Food Safety routines to ensure that our products are safe and healthy to consume. Each of our processing facilities is endorsed by the following: ISO (22000, 9001:2011, 14001), BRC, IFS, along with Halal and Kosher certifications.

Dehydrated spices, root crops, leafy vegetables and vegetable based products packed in laminated pouches with nitrogen gas or in poly bags. Vegetable based products, pepper or onion packed in jars, pouches and bulk packed in drums fitted with poly liners & flavored edible oil or sauce based products packed in sachets.
